These prints represent my collective memory as an immigrant in Norway but looking at my home country Argentina where my family background is rooted in European refugees from WWII. In these lithographies I show how the immigration process builds hybrid identities. Family roots grow like a rhizome of multicultural values.
To illustrate that, I used lithography with family archive photos, scanned plant roots, and old city maps from where my relatives came from. Images are washed out to show the impermanence of life.
(2013) Digital collage and transferred image on canvas. 30 x 40 cm.
