‘Bureaucracy’. [Photography and Performance. 2016.] 

Bureaucracy is a performative visual exploration where I projected all the papers I was required to present as a grantee during a stay in the United States. The documents include my passport, a visa due to my country of origin, and a wide variety of forms regarding my medical history. I presented the documents and numbers representing the coding system in combination with dance. The project seeks to expose how identity is erased by the bureaucracy of administrative procedures while my stay as an alien in the United States.
